The perfect cocktails for Valentine’s Day
It’s valentines day, you’re treating your special loved one to a cosy meal at home. A sumptuous three-course meal is planned, prepped and food bought, you old romantic you. But wait! What on earth are you going to do for drinks? Fancy rustling up a special, homemade tipple or two for that perfect evening? We have listed six scrumptious Valentine’s Day cocktails to create in the comfort of your own home, it will be love at first sip!
The Bramble Clover Club
Ingredients:
35ml Bombay Bramble
15ml MARTINI Fiero
20ml lemon juice
120ml Rich Sugar Syrup (2:1 ratio)
20ml egg white or chickpea water
Method:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine all ingredients and shake well. Then, strain the liquid into one end of the shaker, discard the ice and shake again. Finally, pour the cocktail into a pre-chilled coupette glass then garnish by spritzing a large orange peel disc across the top of the cocktail. And for a special touch, garnish with a cut orange peel heart. Voila!
Slingsby French Kiss (based on a French Martini)
Ingredients:
50ml Slingsby Rhubarb Gin
50ml Pineapple juice
20ml Lime juice
5ml Chambord
Method:
Shake all ingredients with ice before straining into a coupe glass.
Oh Romeo – from Taj Hotels
Ingredients:
50ml Gin
75ml Champagne
25ml Campari
Method:
Shake the Gin and Campari over ice, top with Champagne.
I’m Gin Love
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz Artingstall’s Brilliant London Dry Gin
1 oz passion fruit liquor
½ oz Aperol aperitivo
1 dash crème de cassis
1 dash raspberry syrup
Method:
Shake Ingredients with ice, strain into a chilled cocktail glass and enjoy.
Tutti Frutti – from Sheraton Grand London Park Lane
Ingredients:
Fruit Float
50ml Cherry Vodka
10ml vanilla Syrup
3 dashes Christmas fruit essence
1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
Soda top
Method:
Shake all ingredients and serve in pineapple glass.
Grey Goose French Martini
Ingredients:
45ml GREY GOOSE
50ml Freshly pressed pineapple juice
10ml Chambord
Raspberries
Method:
Build ingredients in a Boston glass
Top with cubed ice and shake
Fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass
Garnish with a raspberry
