Winter Lights Festival at Canary Wharf returns on 18th January

Winter Lights Festival at Canary Wharf returns on 18th January

After a two-year hiatus, Canary Wharf is back with its unmissable Winter Lights Festival with twenty-two stunning installations across the expanse of the Canary Wharf estate themed around climate change, data collection and togetherness.

Highlights include Floating Earth, a giant globe by Luke Jerram floating in the water of Middle Dock whilst in Wood Wharf, Anima by ELISAVA,  an immersive tunnel of fibre-optic lights that represents our data-driven world. Tom Lambert made Out of the Dark, a multi-sensory, audio-visual installation giving the viewer space for self-reflection whilst Fisheye displays Permafrost – Sleeping Giants, a riverside resurrection of three life-size mammoths.

All installations can be viewed from 18th – 28th January, from 5pm – 10pm. Wrap up warm and take advantage of the many new bars and restaurants across the Wharf including Sticks and Sushi, Dishoom, Market Halls and M London. Don’t forget the Elizabeth Line means it is even faster to get here from right across town with its brand new station now open.
