Upstairs at the George opens at historic pub in Fitzrovia

Featuring a Dining Room, Private Dining Room and English Sparkling Wine Bar, the extension of historic Fitzrovia pub The George has been marked as one of the hottest new openings in the West End this Spring. Upstairs at the George will be opening on March 2nd on Great Portland Street, the dining experience will be led by James Knappett, of two Michelin-star restaurant Kitchen Table.

November 2021 saw the ground floor space re-launch, with an impressive renovation encompassing the pub’s history as a hub for the political, cultural and social movements of the late 18th century. Historically home to writers and poets in the 20th century and, in recent years, a hideaway for local creatives, here you can find the classic pub experience; cask beers and craft served alongside seasonal cocktails and British pub food.

Building on this already well-established offering, Upstairs at The George will offer pub classics with a focus on seasonal and responsibly sourced produce. Comprising of 3 separate spaces, guests have the opportunity to choose from the Dining Room, Private Dining Room or English Sparkling Wine Bar.

Address: 55 Great Portland Street, W1W 7LQ
