King’s Cross has launched House of Ski

King’s Cross has collaborated with Beyond Retro and Boutique by Shelter, to launch a first-of-its-kind retro skiwear pop-up – ‘House of Ski’. Open now until the end of February. The pop-up gives skiers and shoppers the opportunity to discover genuine vintage gems for the 2023 ski season.

Over 350 unique pieces of sustainably sourced retro skiwear have been handpicked by vintage experts from across Beyond Retro’s London stores and gathered together at a specially curated alpine chalet-inspired space at the Coal Drops Yard shop. Meanwhile, across the viaduct at Boutique by Shelter, ski enthusiasts can discover a mini showcase of must-have pieces for the slopes.

Furthermore, seamstress, designer and vintage fashion pioneer Annie Phillips – aka Made by Annie – has curated an edit of her top 10 looks from the Beyond Retro archives. Available only in-store at Coal Drops Yard, the edit covers fashion picks from each decade, from the 1940s to the ‘90s, and features cosy Alpine knits, North Face fleeces, ski suit ensembles, ski hats, vintage shearling, funky eyewear and more. Some of the iconic brands featured include PolarDreams, Obermeyer, Ralph Lauren, Leijona, CB sports, and Spyder.

And while these classic styles will make you stand out from the crowd on the piste, the prices won’t break the bank. In fact, prices at Beyond Retro start from £27.95, and at Boutique by Shelter from £7.00. Shoppers can also make a £1 donation to homelessness charities, Shelter and New Horizon Youth Centre at the till.
