Haute Dolci – Review

Haute Dolci is undoubtedly a dessert haven offering up incredible sweet desserts to attract your eyes and excite your tastebuds! Dishes include handcrafted gelato, waffles, french toast, pancakes and one of their most talked about desserts the San Sebastian Cheesecake.

Haute Dolci also offers savoury dishes which include poached eggs, scrambled eggs, avo on sourdough, spicy hash and more, but word on the street definitely confirms that it’s the desserts that keep the people coming! Haute Dolci is also all about the decor! The Ilford branch is elegant with a neutral decor, plush seating and gorgeous flower arrangements dotted around. You can’t help but feel impressed, they have gone to a lot of effort into getting the restaurant looking that elegant and chic.

First up I opted for the Spicy Hash, one of their popular savoury dishes, fried egg with a crispy hash brown, served on toasted brioche, topped with a fresh mixed leaf salad and spicy hollandaise sauce. Perfectly cooked, flavoursome and very moreish, I can see why it’s one of their signature dishes!

I was of course most looking forward to trying their desserts… I ordered the Pistachio Stack, which was presented beautifully! The pancakes were fluffy, yet light and thin, the ice cream was creamy and smooth and the lashings of pistachio sauce and crushed pistachio added the sweetness I craved! Very pleased with my choice of dessert, yet I couldn’t help but eye up my dining partner’s choice of The San Sebastian Cheesecake.

Photos and videos of The San Sebastian cheesecake feature a lot on Instagram, so it would have been crazy not to try it as well. Ohhhh and it didn’t disappoint! It was light and incredibly creamy, an interesting twist on the original. The top was nicely caramelised and the additional chocolate sauce was very much welcomed. It certainly was a melt-in-your-mouth dessert!

You come to Haute Dolci to indulge, so come with your tummies empty, the desserts really are impressive and if you have space for more than one, tuck into two dessert offerings, you won’t be disappointed!

London branches include The O2, Wembley, Ilford and Harrow.
