Fun things to do with the kids in the May half-term holidays

Keep the kids busy and entertained this May 2024 half-term with some fun-filled activities around London, with lots of kid-friendly museums and galleries, farms, immersive experiences and one off events. We have rounded up some of our favourite places to visit with the family.

London Transport museum

Discover historic trams, trains, buses and trolleybuses from London’s past along with modern day transport. Kids can jump on board a train, hop into the driver’s seat of the Elizabeth line train, and little ones can explore the all aboard family play zone.

During the half-term holiday, kids will be treated to an interactive storytelling session where they will explore how transport routes around the city have changed over time and they can book into an arts and crafts session, where they can design their very own London transport Roundel.

iFly at The O2

iFly at The O2 is for the adventurous kids, where they can experience the joy of human flight without so much as a parachute. Guided by experienced instructors, each session lasts up to 60 minutes, including a pre-flight briefing, instructor training and the flight of a lifetime! A 360-degree free viewing platform is available for family and friend to observe the flyers, it’s a lot of fun for the whole family.

Enjoy a city cruise with the family

Hop on one of the City Cruises and visit a range of family-friendly places, based around the Thames, while enjoying London’s breathtaking riverside landmarks. Families can book a lunch cruise along the Thames and enjoy a delicious meal while taking in the views.

Or if twinkling London night lights are more your thing, book a Dinner Cruise and enjoy the spectacular London skyline at night, with a four-course dinner, live music and a glass of fizz.
