Four Seasons hotel at Tower Bridge launches new afternoon tea ‘London by Lily Vanilli’ on 28th March
Forget everything you thought you knew about afternoon tea—because Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge is flipping the script.
In an exciting collaboration, the hotel has teamed up with East End’s beloved artisan baker, Lily Vanilli, to launch Aperi-Tea, a bold new take on the classic afternoon tea. Mark your calendars for March 28th, because this is where tradition meets a modern London twist!
London By Lily Vanilli will be served in the beautifully grand Rotunda Bar and Lounge, and as day turns to evening, the lights will dim, and the menu will shift to entice guests with an Aperitivo-style service and a distinctive night-time energy.
Wave goodbye to dainty sandwiches and tiny cakes—Aperi-Tea is here to shake things up! Expect trend-setting treats, each reinvented in Lily’s signature style, paired with a playful cocktail menu. Highlights include the Lily Royale, a dreamy mix of Beluga Noble vodka, cacao blanc, raspberry cordial, and Champagne, crowned with a white chocolate-dipped raspberry, and the Salted Espresso.
And the food? Oh, you’re in for a treat. Indulge in extravagant Celebration Cakes, a deliciously creamy Creme Brulée Basque Cheesecake served with sour cherry compote and a Tiramisu Tart with coffee and brandy-soaked sponge, oozing custard mascarpone cream and coffee caramel in a crisp chocolate tart. Lily will also be serving up her infamous, delicate cake-like scones, with clotted cream and seasonal fruit compote.
Bite-sized savoury delicacies will perfect the Aperi-Tea hour moment. This includes their house Gilda, with anchovy, green olive and pickled chilli - the original bar snack hailing from the Basque region, light and airy Parmesan goujères, drowning in freshly grated parmesan (a nod to Samuel Pepys who once lived around the corner and buried his beloved wheel of parmesan under the building during the Great Fire of London), cheddar, feta and spinach savoury scones with pickled cucumber and dill, and crispy, crunchy and salty confit potatoes topped with smoked salmon, creme fraiche and lime.
So, if you’re ready to experience afternoon tea reimagined for modern Londoners, make your way to Rotunda Bar and Lounge from March 28th. Aperi-Tea is here to shake things up—one mini cocktail at a time.
The afternoon tea launches on Friday 28th March, to book visit https://www.opentable.com
