Delicious Dining at Chop Chop by Four Seasons – A Hidden Gem at Hippodrome Casino
Nestled in the depths of the bustling Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square, Chop Chop by Four Seasons is a hidden culinary gem. After hearing rave reviews about this establishment, my expectations were high, and I’m pleased to say that they were not only met but exceeded. Upon arrival, navigating through the labyrinthine casino to find the restaurant proved a tad challenging, despite the directions provided by the door security. However, with a bit of assistance from the courteous staff, we finally made our way to the basement where Chop Chop awaits.
Despite arriving slightly behind schedule due to unforeseen traffic, the manager graciously held our table, demonstrating an accommodating and customer-centric approach that set the tone for the evening. The restaurant quickly filled up as the night progressed, attesting to its popularity and allure.
To kick off the evening, we indulged in the Popping Pornstar Martini, an innovative concoction adorned with delightful strawberry popping boba that added a playful twist to this classic cocktail. For starters, we opted for the Half Portion Crispy Duck with pancakes, a generous serving expertly carved table side by our attentive waiter. The succulent duck paired perfectly with the rich hoisin sauce.
Next up were the Minced Pork & Prawn Dumplings, served piping hot and bursting with flavour. While undeniably delicious on its own, a dipping sauce would have elevated this dish even further, a small oversight promptly rectified upon request.
Eager to sample one of the restaurant’s standout dishes, I opted for the Black Pepper Lobster with asparagus, a choice I certainly did not regret. The lobster, expertly prepared and served without the shell, was a true culinary masterpiece, complemented flawlessly by the accompanying asparagus. We also indulged in the Singapore Fried Pork & Prawn Noodles, a flavourful addition that satisfied our craving for bold, Asian-inspired flavours.
Despite being pleasantly satisfied by the generous portions, we couldn’t resist sharing a dessert and settled on the Pistachio Mille Crepe Cake, a decadent finale to our culinary journey. Throughout the evening, the service remained exemplary, with staff members demonstrating professionalism, attentiveness, and a genuine passion for ensuring a memorable dining experience.
