Celebrate the Lunar New Year in style at the Hyatt Regency, Blackfriars
To welcome the Year of the Dragon, a sign associated with strength, health and prosperity Hyatt Regency’s stand-out restaurant, Chinese Cricket Club is hosting a special menu to honour the fictional story of the Shanghai XI cricket team. Tradition has it Feng travelled to the UK in 1857, and with the help of his wife Xiu, opened the city’s first authentic Chinese restaurant.
From February 7th diners can indulge in an authentic Chinese feast of rich and decadent dishes.
The menu includes a host of delicious sharing platters, specially curated by head Chef Tony Truong, using the finest and most exotic ingredients. Each course is made with traditional techniques and incorporates the highest quality produce to enhance the rich and elaborate flavour sensation in every dish.
The special menu on offer includes celebratory starters to share, including their signature recipe, Prosperity Salad, with tuna, salmon & yellowtail and Traditional Peking Duck, along with feature main courses, Steamed Whole Seabass with spring onion & ginger and Roasted BBQ Pork with Jellyfish. The Hyatt Regency is based in the historic Blackfriars area on the former grounds of King Henry VIII’s Bridewell Palace. The hotel is within easy reach of Blackfriars station and well situated for visitors of popular attractions such as St Paul’s Cathedral, Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe.
Prices start at £128.00 per head, to be shared by a minimum of 4 diners. A complimentary dessert and fruit platter is available for early birds who book and pay a £200.00 deposit by 31st January.
