Celebrate St David’s Day at Spitalfields on 2nd – 3rd March

Head on over to Spitalfields this weekend, to celebrate St David’s Day, and indulge in the food offering at the Welsh food and drink market on Lamb Street. The Gwalia Male Choir, will be performing at Bishops Square twice a day (12:20pm & 12:55pm), the perfect spot to eat your lunch.


Enjoy free tastings and live cooking demonstrations from Welsh food and drink specialist and TV cook Nerys Howell. Highlights include: Rachel’s Organic yogurt and Crwst granola (10am), Parsons and Selwyn’s laverbread eggs and PGI Carmarthen Ham wafers garnished with Pembrokeshire Beachfood Welsh man’s caviar (11am), Traditional PGI Welsh Lamb ‘Cawl (12:30pm) and Warm Welsh cakes with Radnor Preserve jams (2pm).


The Welsh food and drink traders on Lamb Street include:

Aber Falls Distillery; the first whisky distillery in Wales in over 100 years Alfie’s Coffee Company; an award-winning coffee company, with beans roasted in Wales Carmarthen Deli by Albert Rees; a family business offering Carmarthen Ham, meat, and deli products Cawl & Co. offers delicious cawl, a traditional Welsh broth Cwmfarm Charcuterie Products; famous for their award-winning Welsh salami made in little village of Ystradgynlais, South Wales Drop Bear Beer Co; alcohol-free beer that is also carbon neutral, vegan and gluten-free Grounds for Good; a sustainable wellness brand utilising reused coffee grounds in all their products Rachel’s Organic; selling organic yogurt made in West Wales, with three generations part of the company Radnor Preserves; a winner of over 65 awards across their wide range of preserves The Blaenafon Cheddar Co; a family-run cheese company The Rogue Welsh Cake Company; a family-run business, selling Welsh cakes with a twist
