Get your pod on at The International Women’s Podcast Festival

In case you thought the podcast world has been dominated by men, The International Women’s Podcast Festival is here to change that. Landing at King’s Place, London on the 18th June headline speakers from all over the globe including the BBC, FT, Africa Pod Fest, Earbuds Collective and Ghost Island Media will share their knowledge and expertise with attendees. The event has been curated by Content is Queen, the award-winning podcasting agency and community supporting minority voices.

Sessions throughout the day will cover marketing, commercial, production, copyright, news programming and legal issues – giving you inspiration to start or the tools to grow your podcast. No matter what level you’re at, the festival is accessible to all and you can meet established podcasters to learn how they do it.

Leanne Ali will deliver the festival keynote – a podcast developer and producer for BBC Sounds Audio Lab, as well as the host and creator of “Coiled” – a documentary podcast on black hair. Other speakers include Moya Lothian McLean, formerly of GalDem Collective and now commissioning editor for Novara Media, Charlotte Williams of SevenSix Agency, renowned music journalist and author Miranda Sawyer, comedian Rosie Wilby and former artistic director of the Southbank Centre Jude Kelly, now founder of the WOW Foundation.

You’ll get the chance to take part in a live podcast recording: The Baggage Reclaim Sessions, Beyond the Self with Africa Brooke and multi-award winning Masala Podcast are all recording live at the event so you can get a piece of the action.

The Festival is live on the 18th June, tickets are available now on Eventbrite
