Skylight Peckham – Review

Tucked away next to Peckham Library is this must-visit hidden gem – Skylight. The stylishly decorated rooftop bar leads out onto a terrace with sweeping views of London. With the evenings getting brighter, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and watch the sunset across the city. Skylight’s menu offers bar snacks, lunch, dinner, and a Saturday & Sunday brunch menu. I visited on Sunday morning for brunch – the brunch menu is relatively small but has all the classics, a selection of Avocado Toast, French Toast, Burrata, a Quinoa Bowl, and Mushrooms and Eggs on toast. I ordered the French Toast with Mulled Wine, Poached Pear, Cardamom Maple Syrup, Toasted Hazelnuts and Vanilla Chantilly Cream, which was delicious. My Oat Milk Latte arrived in a huge cup and saucer for easy drinking and I also ordered a ‘Strawberries Not Cream’ vegan breakfast cocktail, which I couldn’t believe was vegan.

The lunch menu is served Mon – Fri 12 pm – 5 pm and includes a selection of Toast options, Toasties and Burgers. There are also Oysters available for the fancier among us. The dinner menu is available Wednesday through to Sunday evenings from 6pm and is very much small plates and sharing menu. There are vegan and vegetarian options, but there’s more of a focus on meat and oysters.

The drinks menu is vast, including signature cocktails, summer drinks, classics, and lots of non-alcoholic options. There’s a large selection of whites, rosés, reds and sparkling wines ranging from £24 – £490 (there’s Moët & Chandon and Dom Pérignon on the menu as well), making Skylight the perfect place for some celebration drinks. There’s also a selection of draught ciders and beers (and bottles and cans), and the menu also boasts gluten-free and non-alcoholic beers, so there’s something for everyone.

Bottomless Brunch is also available from £39.00 pp every Saturday and Sunday between 10am – 6pm. The brunch package includes bottles of Prosecco on arrival, unlimited access to the Bloody Mary Cart, and a choice of a brunch main course. This would be the perfect bottomless venue when the weather is a little bit warmer, and you could sit outside on the terrace in the sun!

Skylight also hosts ‘Skylight Sessions’ every Sunday, which is live music from a band and regular DJs on Friday and Saturday nights. It’s also worth noting that you can work from Skylight! It’s the perfect place to work with fast wifi, comfortable seating, delicious coffee, pastries and their lunch menu. £10 per day will get you unlimited coffees & teas, fast wifi and a power plug to charge your devices.

Address: Theatre Walk, 120 Peckham Hill Street, London, SE15 5JT
