Love Actually Christmas Lighting Installation Comes to Connaught Village

Whether we’re ready to hear it or not, Christmas is fast approaching, so it’s time to start filling up your festive calendar. Connaught Village, located near Hyde Park and Oxford Street, will be unveiling, well, actually, the ultimate installation to fast track you into the Christmas spirit; their festive neon lighting display inspired by the iconic British film, Love Actually.

The new lighting display will see the Tree of Love, Joy and Hope (situated at the junction of Connaught Street and Kendal Street) receive a yuletide makeover with well-known quotes from the film such as To me you are perfect, First lobster, All I want for Christmas is you, and of course, I feel it in my fingers!

In true Richard Curtis-style, pupils from the neighbouring Connaught House School Choir will open the afternoon of celebrations with an open-air performance of classic Christmas carols mixed with modern hits. Throughout the afternoon and into the early evening, a series of complimentary crafting workshops will take place in the village such as bauble customising, lino card printing and family friendly felt decoration making. Details on how to book to be announced online at www.connaught-village.co.uk

Local businesses in Connaught Village will also be taking part in the festivities. Buchanans Cheesemonger will be hosting an in-store cheese tasting; vegan and eco-friendly salon, Lacquered & Stripped are offering their ‘Ding Dong Mani and Wine’ treatment; and Fé Hair & Beauty will be providing a complimentary mini manicure with all hair appointments booked on the day.

Visitors are encouraged to tag @connaughtvillage in their photos of the neon light installation for a chance to be featured on the Connaught Village Instagram page.

Love, actually will be in Connaught Village on Thursday 25th November | 3-8pm
